Dan had been Chembulk Tankers’ Chief Operating Officer since 2008, after originally joining Chembulk in 2007 as VP/Head of Operations. He was a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy and sailed as a Deck Officer on US Flag commercial ships before coming ashore and commencing a 36 year career in chemical tanker operations. Prior to joining Chembulk, he was employed for 27 years with chemical tanker owner Stolt-Nielsen in a number of operations positions, ultimately as Pacific Ocean Service Operations Manager. He was diagnosed with cancer in December 2014 which he fought courageously right up until his sad passing on April 8, 2016. The legacy of Dan’s leadership and contributions to Chembulk Tankers leaves an indelible mark that guides the company today and will continue for many years to come.
